What if God gave you a list of wonderful things your family had made for him.
the things that he is very much happy for you have done those tasks for him.
what would it feel? Well this was the one that I encountered during my 1315
quiet time.
My dilemma is that, What if i would sin terribly, would God ever give me a
chance, As I was browsing my bible, i encountered the introduction to the
book of 1st Chronicles. It was said that it was God's Diary of the Good things the
kings and other Israelites had done for God throughout their life. There was this
question that had struck me. it said, "Isn't it wonderful that God cares more of
our winnings than our failures?". Actually, this is true, God so loved the Sinful
and very bad people that he gave his Son as sacrifice as penalty for their sins
(John 3:16). It is not just in the new testament we see his love for us, but also in
the Old testament. He had commended (by recording) the goodness of the
people in the book. though I have just read the genealogy part, I already saw
this one coming. The very Moment God created man, though he already knew
that sin would soon be a problem, he still created us because of Love.
Sometimes we see life that it is unfair, That we wish we never had been in this
earth because we always fail, but think of this, God is not concerned about your
failures, he is concerned about your winnings and you. That is how he loves
you. he even Gave up his son for you. He loved us sinful people so much. No
matter how we feel today or maybe, we feel as failures, Remember that God is
always there to give you hope that no matter what happens God loves you.
Practical application you ask? well, I have none at first but then, i realized that
the winnings of the people are not merely consisting of tangible trophies and
medals, but of honor and humility and love and more of the inner victory of
conquering the sinfulness of man. controlling our motives and lining them up to
God's standards and fulfilling them. commitment to him like fasting and living up
for him, must be fulfilled. but not being able to do things at one point in time
doesn't mean that you disappointed God and that you do not deserve his love.
this notion is 100% wrong. God loves you and this love would never become
less. there is nothing in this world that you can do to make the love of God
lesser and greater that it already is. God's love is infinite proven by the Death
and resurrection of Christ. Be reminded that we are here on earth and we are
undergoing a process. that will help us grow and that will make us better
individuals until we meet God face to face. i think God has his own diary for
me, and as he writes my story, i would like to act every great thing he wants me
to do.
